Concerned citizens

The ‘Hersbruck citizens’ who wrote a letter to the mayor strongly protesting the publication of Gerd Vanselow’s research did not want to be identified by name. ‘That was all 50 years ago’ – they claimed in 1984(!). At the time, former members of the concentration camp staff were still living in the town. Companies in Hersbruck employed forced labourers until 1945; they also made money from the SS men who worked in the camp and were their customers.
