Fighting for remembrance

Rolf Weinstock (1920-1952) grew up in the small Swabian town of Emmendingen. As a Jew, he was deported with his family to a concentration camp in 1938 and later to the Auschwitz death camp. He was the only survivor to return to his hometown in 1945 and struggled alone for remembrance of the past. Rolf Weinstock died at the age of 32 from conditions caused by his camp imprisonment.
