On 9 October 2019, a right-wing extremist planned a massacre of Jews in Halle (Saale). After failing to break into the synagogue, he shot a 40-year-old woman on the street, a 20-year-old man in a snack bar and seriously injured others. He sent a live recording of the massacre from his helmet camera directly to an internet platform.
