Three days after the pogrom in Rostock, nearly 15,000 people responded to the call for a nationwide demonstration. There was hardly any police presence during the right-wing extremist riots, but 3,000 law enforcement officers were deployed at this protest. New anti-fascist alliances and initiatives were beginning to form in Germany.
