The teacher

As an historian and ethnologist, Ruth Kellermann (1913-1999) interviewed many Roma during the Nazi era. In her expert reports, she defended deporting these people to concentration and death camps. After the war, she worked as a teacher and continued to provide the police with her ‘studies’ from the Nazi era until 1961. She also gave lectures to police investigators.

In 1984, the Roma and Sinti Union filed criminal charges, but this never resulted in a trial.
